there are few places in the world where I feel so connected. Columbus, Ohio is one of those places. Maybe I’ll just spend a year here after a graduate or something. Damn these important life choices.

if you’re into both nostalgia, and the time space continuum.
this is the most incredible piece of music I’ve ever heard. I CAN’T stop listening to it. Steve Reich is by far one of the most amazing composers I’ve ever heard. The Minimalists have some serious weight as far as my future compositions go. This makes me want to start writing, but how can I write when I can’t stop listening to this?
let me know what you guys think. Click the link in the title and the whole piece should come up.
what an interesting way to see the color pallet of what most people identify as the source of their depression!
I What? Something I did in NYC actually looks and sounds kinda cool? yeah, excuse the ad, but the video from the last show I played with Rioux last thursday does exactly that. Look cool. Expect more cool looking things to come!
EDIT://
around 20 seconds into the video, everyone can see 2 things that i dislike.
1. My technique looks AWFUL. I look tense as hell.
2. I didn’t have a hi hat because there was no hi hat stand at the venue! I would normally use a hi hat stand. instead I improvised by throwing a splash cymbal on the top of my crash cymbal (which has a decent chunk of it missing) to give a somewhat hi-hat-ey sound. woo.
Pretty much a ticket to the whole festival from your home. A bunch of really great archived bands. WIlco, Death Cab, Rodrigo y Gabriella, FLYING LOTUS, and a lot more.
The redone version of the same speech. A little more repetitive, but a little more dancey. Which one is better?!
something i made. total spur of the moment, definitely something that just came together as I messed around. I think I’m gonna redo it and make something a little more cohesive. but for now, enjoy.
mark my words, in 5-10 years from now, I’ll be applying for this, and will hopefully get it. You know how ballin’ that would be? The answer is, HOLY CRAP SO BALLIN’.
