Bela Bartok String Quartet No. 5.

The first violin has SO much personality in this piece. The backing instruments are heavyyy

I feel like this song has all the emotions I’ve ever experienced in one 4 and a half minute song. damn.

No Radio For Me

well, that might be a lie. Whenever I’m home I listen to WBGO, and 88.9 (Go Jersey!).

NPR’s hip, intellectual, and refreshing 24/7 radio station provides a mix of artists both very well known, and lesser so. Double points go to NPR for making it easy to see who the artist, album, and song is. I wish the interface wasn’t in a new window however.

For when you’ve listened to the starred tracks on Spotify too much, this station gives a much better mix than Pandora. Go NPR.

Just listen to this whole thing.

Cool music coming from Northern Europe! The video is creepy, and dark. I love it all. The song is especially good. I LOVE it when it hits 2:00. Now THAT’S some serious tension.

I’ll eventually write more intelligent things under these videos rather than one sentence reactions to it, but not for this video. Nina Simone just kills it on this one.
